Stalgast Head Office
The remnants of post-war Poland became reinvigorated when the offices of Stalgast, a leading hospitality manufacturer, were transformed into a contemporary workplace. The challenging project required flooring which matched the pre-existing natural materials whilst offering a series of practical features. With help from the attractive designs of Polyflor’s Expona Commercial PUR range, the refurbishment integrated with its surroundings perfectly.

Stalgast, the Polish hospitality manufacturer, has over 30 years of experience developing stainless steel catering equipment for hotels, restaurants and bars. Their workforce comprises culinary experts, product advisors, installers and service technicians, all of whom support clients across Europe.
Their office resides at Centrum Praskie Koneser: a complex of residential, corporate and leisure developments located on the premises of Koneser Filtration House, a former 19th Century vodka factory in Warsaw.
The area holds great cultural and historical significance. The factory is one of the few buildings in Poland’s capital city not destroyed during World War II.
As such, new builds at the complex must integrate harmoniously with the now revitalised factory, drawing upon current European architectural trends – including post-industrial, biophilia and other natural textures – to create a thriving, contemporary urban space.
To reflect Stalgast’s hospitality image, local architects MADAMA designed the office interior using steel elements in the reception area, wall panelling and a suspended ceiling.
They utilised blue tones from the company logo throughout the office space’s colour scheme. Exposed brick and wooden elements were also paired with plants, adding warmth to the room.
However, Stalgast encountered a significant challenge in locating a flooring choice that would match the industrial character of the office space whilst also achieving a high-quality aesthetic and matching performance.
Polyflor was recommended to Stalgast by MADAMA, who were already familiar with Polyflor Expona Commercial PUR - a range for designers wishing to create user-friendly spaces which are simultaneously functional and durable when placed in high footfall environments.
In the form of Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT), the designs in this flagship range replicate the beauty of natural materials, making them perfect for use in commercial areas.
MADAMA chose Cool Grey Concrete and Grey Limed Oak tiles to complement the existing design concept of the space and then configured them to improve navigation and highlight communal areas.
In addition to attractive designs, Polyflor’s LVT range guarantees premium quality and high functionality. Therefore, MADAMA found them to be the perfect finishing touch to the broader design scheme whilst providing comfort and safety throughout the office space.
The Stalgast/MADAMA partnership commended Polyflor’s Expona Commercial PUR range for having a series of noticeable overall benefits over its competitors on the market:
